A MAJOR search is under way for a missing man who has now been seen since the early hours of this morning.
Cleveland Police helicopters have joined officers in the search for Tanveer Ahmed, 37, who was last seen on Yarm Lane, Stockton, at about 3.45am.
The moustached Asian man from Stockton was wearing a long black shirt and white trousers, he is described as 5’8’’ and of medium build.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: “It is out of character for him to go out alone and officers are concerned for his welfare especially as he requires medication which he does not have with him.”
“Officers including the air support unit have been searching for Tanveer for a number of hours but have so far been unable to find him.”
Anyone who has seen him since early this morning, or who knows where he is, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency 101 number.
