4:21pm Friday 22nd March 2013 in News By Stuart Minting
A BOY is fighting for his life after being struck by a coach outside the largest electronic monitoring station in the world.
North Yorkshire Police said the 14-year-old suffered serious injuries at 4.25pm on Thursday at the gates to RAF Menwith Hill.
He was airlifted by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, where he remains in a stable condition.
It is unclear why the boy, from Lancashire, was walking outside the base, which provides intercept and missile warning services to the United Kingdom and the United States.
Police appealed for witnesses to contact 101 or email david.willey@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
