A racehorse stud and stable visit will take place on Sunday, March 24 at Thatchmire Stud and Tina Jackson’s racing stables at Liverton, between Guisborough and Whitby. The event is free, but advance booking is essential. A carvery lunch is available afterwards if requested at The Water Wheel. SCHOOL FUNDRAISING: Students, parents and friends of Mowbray School in Bedale have raised £580 for the school’s Parent Children and Teachers Association with a day spent bag-packing at Tesco in Catterick on Mother’s Day, March 10. The school has said every penny raised will go to the children with learning difficulties. It will be used for extracurricular activities for the children with learning difficulties such as theatre trips, fun days and special events. The school has thanked everyone involved.
