TEEANGE entrepreneurs have developed a new interactive board game they are hoping to sell to local schools.
Enterprising A Level students from Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough have devised ‘SkillzVenture’ to help Key Stage 2 primary pupils in years three and four have fun with the core subjects of English and Maths.
Children can pick a character to play as such as Max Multiply, Diva Divide or Vincent Vocabulary which have each been specifically created by the group.
The game has won the backing of the National Literacy Trust and the 14-stong team behind the idea is now hoping it will take them to the national finals of the national Young Enterprise competition.
Business teacher Lesley Currie she said “The students have worked really hard on the development of this game, linking it to Key Stage 2 and devising the characters. It is a brilliant game and I have enjoyed playing it with my own eight-year-old.”
