Darlington gym club members enjoy competitive success

THREE gymnasts from Darlington Gymnastics Club will represent the North of England at the National Grades Finals, after a successful performance in a regional qualifying event last week.
Hope Godfrey and Olivia Austen won silver and bronze, respectively, in grade eight, and Jordan McKinnon won bronze in grade seven.
All three will travel to Birmingham in April for the event, competing against gymnasts from across the country.
Three other competitors from the club - Lauren Roper, Ellen Barnes and Maya Taylor - also passed their grades.
A successful event for the club was capped off with a team gold in grade eight.
A club spokesman said: “Darlington Gymnastics Club is extremely proud of all the gymnasts that competed. They have worked extremely hard and deserve their success.”
