Northallerton information event on welfare changes

PEOPLE worried about the Government’s welfare reform changes are being invited to a free information event in Northallerton this month.

Broadacres Housing Association is hosting the event at its Rivendale extra care housing scheme in Bankhead Road on Thursday, March 21 between 10am and 1pm.

Organised by disabled welfare charity Independus the event is designed to inform people about the Welfare Reform Act and how this will change the benefits system, such as disability living allowance and housing benefit.

Heather Theobold, from the Welfare Benefits Unit, will be speaking and free refreshments will be provided.
