TREES GALORE: A five-year scheme to plant 50,000 trees in and around York is moving forward with the introduction of several native species along the banks of the Ouse. Environmental group Treemen-dous York joined forces with Waitrose supermarket to plant the young trees along the Esplanade, below Skeldergate bridge.
