4:39pm Tuesday 12th March 2013 in News By Joanna Morris
A ROAD RAGE incident led to a man being assaulted in Darlington on Friday.
Tempers became frayed between the victim and the driver of a car travelling the opposite way to him on Nunnery Lane.
The assault happened outside Carmel Convent at around 2.40pm. The victim was travelling in a green Honda Civic and the alleged assailants were in a burnt-orange coloured Vauxhall Corsa, which may have had 53 plates.
Police are looking for two suspects in connection with the attack. The first was a passenger in the Corsa and is described as white, in his 40s and of medium build. He was wearing a jacket and tracksuit bottoms.
The second suspect is a white male in his 20s who was wearing similar clothing. The men bore a resemblance to each other and it is believed they may be father and son.
Any witnesses or anyone information about the incident should contact PC 2522 Kate Ward on non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
