Three arrested after Hurworth Place burglary attempt

BURGLARY ARRESTS: Three men have been arrested after a burglary in Hurworth Place yesterday (Sunday, March 10). A woman called Darlington Police to report that her husband had seen two people trying to enter their garage and had managed to trap them in the garden. The three suspects, aged 17, 19 and 25, had arrived in a car and the householder was able to take the keys to prevent escape. The three suspects remain in police custody. The vehicle, which is believed to contain stolen property, has been seized by police.
