Darlington company host series of events to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week

A DARLINGTON company is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week with a host of events.
Focus Training and Development want to promote the benefits of apprentices and to raise awareness of opportunities for young people and employers.
This week, they will be visiting schools, businesses and youth centres throughout Darlington in an attempt to inspire people to get involved with apprenticeships.
The company are also the sponsors of a large job fair being held at the town’s Dolphin Centre today from 10am to 4pm.
Local employers keen to recruit young people will be on hand to discuss available vacancies and advisors will offer those attending the opportunity to take part in activities designed to guide them towards suitable jobs.
A drop-in advice session for anyone interested in an apprenticeship will be held at the company’s head office in Oakwood House on Eastmount Road on Wednesday, March 13 from 10am to 4pm.
