Pedal power fundraiser for supermarket
1:48pm Monday 11th March 2013 in News By Janet Gleeson
WORKERS at Asda, Northallerton are getting on their bikes this weekend to raise money as a memorial to a 30 year old colleague who died this year.
Staff at the supermarket will be using exercise bikes on March 16 and 17 to notch up as many miles as possible for the event which will raise funds for the Intensive Care Unit at the town’s Friarage Hospital.
They are paying tribute to colleague Neil Farn who died unexpectedly in January.
Catherine Baker of Asda said:” I hope our customers are able to support us in this fundraising effort as Neil was loved by both customers and colleagues and we hope it will be a fitting tribute to him.”
