Drugs in fridge land Darlington man in court

A MAN caught with drugs his fridge has been given a conditional discharge.

Police searched David Boyle’s home in Lansdowne Street, Darlington, and found a small amount of amphetamine in his fridge on June 6 last year.

The 35-year-old admitted it was his and pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug when he appeared Darlington Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday, March 7).

In mitigation, John Turner said Boyle was only a casual user of the drug and does not have any dependency on it.

Magistrates gave him a two-year conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
