A DALES school has said goodbye to two of its lunchtime staff.
After eight happy years helping to prepare lunches at Middleham First School, Sally Walsh, the assistant cook, is leaving to start a new job. Her daughter Megan was a pupil at the school. Hayley Beales, the lunchtime supervisor, is also leaving after being at Middleham for nearly two years.
Teacher Catherine Monaghan presented both women with cards and flowers last Thursday lunchtime, their last official day in school.
Jo Dobbs, headteacher, said: “We’re really sorry to see Sally and Hayley leave. They have been an established part of our school family and will be really missed.
We wish them all the very best in their new jobs and hope that they’ll pop in and see us from time to time.”
