Ladders stolen from roof of work van

LADDER THEFT: A large set of ladders were stolen from the top of a van parked in Eldon Street, Darlington, at about 12.40am on Monday, March 5. A police spokeswoman said: “Thefts such as this one might seem minor, but can have a huge impact on people's livelihoods.” Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the police non-emergency line, 101, quoting reference DJ1301381.

COUNTRY MUSIC: White Line Fever will perform a live country music set at Albert Hill Club, in Darlington, Saturday, March 9, at 6.30pm. Tickets are £3 on the door.

EARLY FUNDRAISING: A coffee morning in aid of Kidney Research will be held in Heighington Village Hall, on Saturday, March 9, between 10am and noon. The event will include refreshments, a raffle and cake stall, and Kidney Research merchandise.

SHED BURGLARY: A shed in Dorset Drive, Darlington, was broken into sometime between 9pm on Tuesday, March 5 and noon yesterday (Wednesday, March 6). A number of tools were stolen from the property. Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact PC Paula Ruck via the non-emergency number 101.
