Rugby playing teens help school reach final of prestigious competition

THREE RUGBY-PLAYING teenagers have helped their school reach the final of a prestigious competition.

Darlington Mowden Park players Tamer Fuat (CORR), Tom Lawson and Jonathan Teague, all 16, helped Yarm School to victory and earned them a place in the Daily Mail U18 Vase final.

The teens were selected by the school’s first team coaches Stuart Hardy and Chris Webb to play for their under-18 team in the seven game run up to the national final.

Together with their team, they stormed to victory in several games, inflicting defeat on teams like Darlington QE College and Plymouth College to reach the final, which will be played in Twickenham on Saturday, March 23.

The teenagers have been trained by the coaching team at Darlington Mowden Park and describe themselves as “proud and excited” to be representing the club and their school in the competition.
