Second-hand book fair in Bedale

BOOK FAIR: An antiquarian and second-hand book and postcard fair will be held in Bedale on Sunday, March 10. The fairs are usually held at Bedale High School, but this month the fair will take place at Bedale Hall, opposite the church, from 10am until 4pm. There are thirty stalls booked and homemade refreshments will be available. There is free car-parking at the north end of the Market Place, near the hall and the venue is accessible to wheelchair users. For further details ring 01677-422863. All proceeds will go to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
PUBLIC MEETING: Great Ayton’s annual parish meeting, which was originally scheduled for April 16, will now take place on April 23 at 7pm at the Friends Meeting House. People living in the parish are invited to participate in the meeting. They can table questions for the parish council on issues such as allotments, the cemetery, dogs, footpaths, planning, public parks and county and district council matters.
GREAT AYTON WALK: A walk around Great Ayton will be held by Northallerton Ramblers group on March 14. Participants can meet at Low Green for the nine mile walk. For further details contact John on 01609-776720.
