GREAT AYTON
Public invited to parish meeting. - Great Ayton’s annual parish meeting will take place on April 23 at 7pm at the Friends Meeting House. The meeting was originally scheduled for April 16, but has now been changed. People in the parish are invited to participate in the meeting and can table questions for the parish council on issues such as allotments, the cemetery, dogs, footpaths, planning, public parks and county and district council matters.
Great Ayton walk. - A walk around Great Ayton will be held by Northallerton Ramblers group on March 14. Participants can meet at Low Green for the nine mile walk. For further details contact John on 01609-776720.
NORTHALLERTON
Northallerton United Reformed Church. – Sunday morning worship will be led by Rev Ken Harris. The service will commence at 10am. Lent Lunches will be served in the church hall from 12 noon on Wednesday. Midweek worship will take place in the church at 1pm on Wednesday and will be led by Mrs Ann Bowes.
BEDALE
Book fair. - An antiquarian and second-hand book and postcard fair will be held in Bedale on Sunday, March 10. The fairs are usually held at Bedale High School, but this month the fair will take place at Bedale Hall, opposite the church, from 10am until 4pm. There are thirty stalls booked and homemade refreshments will be available. There is free car-parking at the north end of the Market Place, near the hall and the venue is accessible to wheelchair users. For further details ring 01677-422863. All proceeds will go to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
