Councillor urges residents to attend community meeting

COMMUNITY MEETING: Northgate Community Partnership will host its annual general meeting on Wednesday, March 13, at 7pm in the Baptist church hall. Ward councillor Dot Long has encouraged everyone who lives in Northgate to attend and to consider volunteering for a number of community projects in the area.

COFFEE MORNING: Haughton Green Methodist Church will hold its monthly coffee morning on Saturday, March 9, between 10am and 11am. The event will include a number of stalls, with cakes and bring and buy. Admission is free.

PACT MEETING: The next police and communities together meeting for Middleton St George will be held tomorrow (Wednesday, March 6) at 6.30pm in the Dinsdale Court Community Room. The meeting will discuss a spike in anti-social behaviour around the village. The new police and crime commissioner for Durham, Ron Hogg, will also be in attendance.

Disappointed there is no reply.

I don't mind helping with genuine community projects but I'm not getting involved in work I am already paying council tax to get done
