Busy Middlesbrough road will remain closed until tomorrow

A LANE is to close at a busy Middlesbrough junction to enable emergency repairs to a burst water main.
Northumbrian Water is carrying out work to the burst main at the junction of Newport Road and Hartington Road near the Aldi supermarket.
Middlesbrough Council has supplied a gully cleaner to help reduce the water level at the site.
Northumbrian Water was expected to be on site early this afternoon, putting lane restrictions in place on Hartington Road and Newport Road, and these are likely to remain in place for the rest of today (Tuesday, MArch 5) and into tomorrow.
