Walking club ready for ten-mile ramble

DARLINGTON CHA and HF Rambling Club will be having a ten-mile walk around Hawnby and Boltby Forest on Sunday (March 10). Meet at 8.30am outside the former Arts Centre, in Vane Terrace. For more details, call 01325-721127.
SURGERY OFF: A ward surgery for Mowden, which was due to be held at Mowden Junior School on Tuesday (March 5) evening, was cancelled.
PRAISE SERVICE: A service of songs of praise will be held at All Saints’ Church, in Ravensdale Road, Darlington, at 2.30pm, on Palm Sunday, March 24. It will be followed by afternoon tea.
COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning will be held at All Saints’ Church, from 10am to 12.30pm, on Saturday (March 9). Coffee and refreshments cost £1 for adults and 50p for children. There will be a raffle and cake stall. All are welcome.
COUNCIL MEETS: The next meeting of Hurworth Parish Council will be held on Thursday (March 7), at Hurworth Grange Community Centre. Members will hear an update on the recent public inquiry over the right of way issue around Croft Workingmen’s Club.
