'Wrapping up Yorkshire' loft and cavity wall insulation scheme funding running out

TIME is running out across Hambleton for residents to claim free loft and cavity wall insulations for their homes.

The ‘Wrapping up Yorkshire’ scheme, funded by national energy providers, is open to all private homeowners and tenants in Hambleton, including landlords – with no limit on age group, income or benefit.

But with funding coming to an end, applications for the scheme are on a first come, first served basis - subject to a free no obligation home survey.

The Energy Saving Trust say a house can lose up to 60 per cent of its heating through its walls and roof – so fully insulating both can save householders up to £310 per year on energy bills.
