North-East hairdressers learn how to be a cut above the rest

TOP stylists descended on the North-East to teach the region’s hairdressers the latest cutting edge techniques.

About 100 hairdressers took part in the event, hosted by Spanish cosmetics and hair product company, Montibel.lo, at the Mercure Kings Hotel in Darlington last night (Monday, March 4).

As part of the seminar they were taught how to create the company’s newest hairstyles on their clients back home, as well as getting tips and advice on how to use the Montibel.lo colour range.

Jordi Tenas, part of the professional styling team, led the demonstrations. He said: “We tour the world teaching hairdressers different styling and cutting techniques – I was in Glasgow last week and will be in South America next week.

“We create styles for hairdressers to do for their clients in the salons but are easy enough for the clients to reproduce at home.

“We want hairdressers to want to create these looks, but also for normal people to see them and want to create them too."

The company was launched in the UK last year and since then the team have been touring the country teaching hairdressers how to achieve their latest looks.
