MEMBERS' SURGERY: Durham County Council representatives for Barnard Castle east and west, Barbara Harrison, Richard Bell, George Richardson and James Rowlandson, will hold a surgery at Woodleigh, Flatts Road, Barnard Castle on Friday March 8 between 5pm and 6.30pm.
CHURCH BOOST: More than £700 was raised for St Mary's Church, Gainford, thanks to a dance held in the village hall. Music was provided by a local quartet – Bill Goyder on sax, Dave Donnelly on drums, Jeremy McMurray on keyboard and Peter Ayton on bass guitar and vocals.
