Darlington Amateur Gardening Club to meet this week

THE next meeting of Darlington Amateur Gardening Club will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday in Bondgate Methodist Church, Winston Street, Darlington.

The meeting will include a talk by Jill Kettlewell on attracting wildlife into the garden. The event is £2 for members and £2.50 for non members. All are welcome.

BREW TIME: A coffee morning will be held at Hurworth Methodist Church on Saturday, March 9 from 10am to 11am. Admission is £1 and includes coffee and biscuits and all proceeds will go to church funds.

POLICE MEET: The next Middleton St George Police and Communities Together (Pact) will take place at Dinsdale Court, in the village, on Wednesday (March 6) from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

FOUL PLAY: Dog walkers in Harrowgate Hill are being urged to pick up after their pets following a rise in the amount of dog dirt on pavements in the area. People can report dog dirt and irresponsible owners anonymously to dishthedirt@darlington.gov.uk or by calling 01325-388777 or by visiting darlington.gov.uk/reportit
