Band of the Yorkshire Regiment to play charity concert in Middlesbrough

A POPULAR military band will play in a charity concert at Middlesbrough Town Hall later this month.

The concert, by the Band of the Yorkshire Regiment, takes place on Sunday, March 24 in the Main Hall with doors opening at 2.30pm for a 3pm start.

Tickets are £5 each with proceeds going to the Yorkshire Regiment Benevolent Fund which supports soldiers and their families after they leave the army.

It is the second annual Middlesbrough concert to be staged by the Band in partnership with the town’s Mayor Ray Mallon.

Mr Mallon said: “This concern is a great way for the people of Middlesbrough to recognise the contribution to the town and the country as a whole made by the Yorkshire Regiment and the previous Regiment of the Green Howards.”

For tickets contact the box office on 01642-729729 or book online on www.middlesbroughtownhallonline.co.uk.
