Students broaden horizons with multi-faith event

STUDENTS at Reid Street School, in Darlington, enjoyed a taste of other cultures with a multi-faith day designed to broaden their experiences. They were taught about different faiths from around the world. Foundation stage leader Amanda Jones said: “We wanted to give the children an awareness of the diversity of the cultures and religions which exist in our school, our town and our world.”

FUNNY FACES: Singer Joe McElderry challenged shoppers at Sainsbury’s, in Heaton, Newcastle, to pull their funniest face in support of Comic Relief. A Red Nose Day photo booth, which is touring the country, visited the store on Sunday (March 3).
