RELATIVELY SPEAKING: A distant relative of Cockfield scientist and surveyor Jeremiah Dixon is to give an illustrated talk to the Gainford Local History Group. Retired teacher John Dixon is to be the group's guest on Monday, March 18, in the village hall, and the talk coincides with the 250th anniversary of the start of the Mason-Dixon Line. The talk starts at 7.15pm.
