A CRACKDOWN on night time criminality and anti-social behaviour is being launched across the Redcar and Cleveland area.
Operation Night Arrow, run by Redcar & Cleveland CID and with support from response and neighbourhood officers, aims to respond quickly and effectively to any emerging crime trends within the district.
From tomorrow (Monday, March 4) plain clothes officers will carry out proactive patrols in identified hotspot areas in a bid to target, arrest and disrupt offenders, whilst providing reassurance to the law abiding majority of residents.
Detective Inspector Mark Dimelow said: “The district is performing well in terms of managing crime and anti social behaviour. This operation aims to maintain our current performance and to prevent offending and reoffending.
“Previous Night Arrow operations have had a significant impact on criminals’ ability to operate within our district. Once again we will ensure we direct the right resources to the right places.
“Criminals should be warned that we have effective intelligence tools which help us identify them and we will use all means possible to apprehend them and bring them to justice.”
