One taken to hospital after road accident on A66 near Stockton

One person was taken to hospital after a road accident on the A66 near Stockton this morning.
The accident happened between the Elton and Yarm Road junctions at 7.30am.
Fire crews from Stockton and Thornaby responded, together with an emergency tender and removed the casualty from the vehicle.
The injured person was then taken to hospital by ambulance. no further details are available.
