Darlington snooker hall sells at auction

A FORMER cinema later used as a snooker hall has been sold for £146,000.

The Majestic cinema building, in Bondgate, Darlington, was sold by Pattinson National Property Auctions at an auction on Tuesday (February 26) for more than £50,000 above its reserve price of £89,950.

The building was used as a snooker club for more than 20 years, but after its most recent owners, Rileys, went into administration, the building went under the hammer.

The new owners of the four-storey building will get their keys within the next 28 days.
