Witness appeal after two car collision near Redcar

THREE men were taken to hospital following a collision involving two cars on the A174 near Redcar.

Cleveland Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident between a black Vauxhall Astra and a silver Vauxhall Vectra at Wilton towards Kirkleatham Lane at about 7.35pm on Thursday night.

A 23-year-old male passenger who was travelling in the Vauxhall Astra was detained at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough with a fractured sternum and both male drivers from the vehicles were taken to hospital but later discharged with minor injuries.

Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Graeme Allinson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting reference number 35201.
