Cleveland Police appeal after seven-car collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision that involved seven vehicles yesterday (Wednesday, February 27) at 8.45am.
The collision happened on the A66 westbound carriageway at the junction with A135 at Surtees Bridge, close to Teesside Park.
The collision involved a red Mercedes, a white Ford Kuga, a silver Ford Fiesta, a grey Citroen C5, a blue Renault Clio, a black Volkswagen Golf and a silver Toyota Avensis.
The female driver of the Ford Kuga, a female passenger from the Ford Fiesta and the female driver of the Renault Clio were all taken to hospital for assessment but were later discharged without injuries.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact PC Jayson Morris of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting reference number 034151.
