A MAN accused of stealing £11,500 from a house in Darlington has appeared before magistrates in County Durham.
Richard Paul Clark, of Harry Street, Darlington, is alleged to have stolen two safes, £6,500 in cash and 210,340 Thai Baht, worth about £5,000, from a house on Finchale Crescent on December 31 last year.
The 25-year-old, who appeared via video link from Holme House Prison in Stockton-on-Tees, denied the burglary charge at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, February 27).
The case was committed to Teesside Crown Court on a date to be fixed for trial.
Clark was also charged with possessing 126.6 grammes of Amphetamine –a class B drug- on October 14.
He pleaded guilty to the offence and received a conditional discharge.
