COURT DATE: A man charged with making and possessing child pornography will have his case dealt with at crown court.
Ryusuke Sugiura, 31, of Alverton Drive, Darlington, is charged with eight counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child between January 1, 2011, and July 4, 2012, one count of possessing an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child, one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child and another of possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying an act which threatened life.
He entered no pleas when he appeared at Darlington Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday, February 26) and will return to court on April 23 for a committal to Teesside Crown Court.
He was granted unconditional bail.
