Care home minibus damaged in Trimdon Colliery

THE rear window of a minibus belonging to Wood lea Residential Care Home in Low Hogg Street, Trimdon Colliery, has been damaged. Sometime between midday and 12.45pm yesterday (Friday, February 25) a ball bearing was thrown at the window of the specially adapted minibus, while it was parked outside the home. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC John Seymour at Sedgefield Police on 101, extension 661-4670.

SAINSBURY’S MEETING: Sedgefield Town Council is hosting a meeting for groups wishing to apply for a share of the £150,000 community fund set aside for the town by Sainsbury’s supermarket. A new store is set to open on Salters Lane in May and the Section 106 funding will be handed over by the developers around the same time. The meeting takes place at 7pm on Monday, March 4, at the Parish Hall.
