Bedale Town Council is calling on Yorkshire Water for help to solve flooding problems at Southfields Play Area.
Extensive investigations have been carried out into the drainage system to find out where blockages are located with little success. Now councillors have been told the only way forward would be with assistance from the water authority.
CRIME STATS: Crime in Bedale is amongst the lowest in the country, town councillors have been told - down 10 per cent from last year. Sgt Gerry Perrin said the actual numbers of crimes were very low, although non dwelling burglaries had increased from five to seven in the past month.
