First session of media training aimed at Teesdale businesses and community groups planned for February 28
1:30pm Monday 25th February 2013 in News By Stuart Laundy, Reporter (Barnard Castle & Teesdale)
THE first in a series of free media training sessions aimed at small businesses and community groups in Teesdale takes place this week.
Getting Your Voice Heard is being provided by Radio Teesdale thanks to funding from the North Pennine Dales Leader scheme.
The half day course takes place on Thursday, February 28, and offers tips on everything from writing press releases to being interviewed for radio.
There are further course dates available in March, April, May and June with daytime and evening sessions available.
Radio Teesdale station manager Peter Dixon said the course was aimed at business managers and leaders of community groups keen to gain publicity for their ventures.
Business or community networking groups are also being offered free training on getting the most out of the media.
This training can be arranged at a time to suit the group.
