A FURNITURE reclamation and delivery service is looking for more volunteers.
The service, which has a shop on Leadenhall Street, in Darlington, collects re-usable furniture, electrical appliances, soft furnishings and other household items and sells them on, offering a discount to people on benefits.
The project, known as FRADE (Furniture Reclamation and Delivery Enterprise) started in the early 1980s when changes in the welfare system left people moving into new tenancies without any money to buy furniture.
Anybody who can spare a few hours a week to volunteer with FRADE can contact (01325) 357379 or visit www.frade.co.uk
