Festival move: The annual Galtres Festival, will be staged at Duncombe Park, near Helmsley, this August Bank Holiday. It was held in Crayke for several years but has moved because of its growing popularity and parking issues.

Food line-up: Renowned Italian chef Antonio Carluccio will be among the big names taking part in the Malton Food Lovers Festival this year. The event takes place on May 18 and 19.

For sale: An historic North Yorkshire building is up for sale. Offers of more than £350,000 are being sought for Londesborough Lodge, in the centre of Scarborough’s Cultural Quarter, which has been put on the market by Scarborough Borough Council. It was built in 1839 and improved by the First Lord of Londesborough, who was said to have entertained Edward VII there.

Watch theft: A watch worth £8,000 was stolen from a locker at a hotel gym in Harrogate last Monday afternoon. The Rolex Sea Dweller has a black face and bezel and a silver bracelet. Anyone who is offered it for sale is asked to contact police on 101, select option two and ask for PC David Minto.
