ACROBATS, jugglers and clowns took to the stage last night (Friday, February 22) when the circus came to one of the region’s theatres.
The Moscow State Circus returned to Darlington’s Civic Theatre with a new show, Babushkin Sekret, and will perform again today (Saturday), at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
The circus show is based on the Legend of the 12 Chairs and features an acrobatic troupe and a dancer who performs on a revolving aerial chandelier.
The show has been described as ‘a mammoth cast of Russia's greatest and most talented circus artistes, who transform the stage into the most famous circus in the world, combining contemporary and classical circus’.
Tickets for the matinee and evening show are available from the theatre box office on 01325-486555, priced between £14 and £26.
