Wild horse loose on A66

WILD HORSE: Police had to bring a wild horse under control when it got loose and ran onto the A66 at around 12.30pm on Monday. The Cleveland Police helicopter also assisted with the incident.
TA DAY: The Territorial Army will hold a fun day at Middlesbrough’s Centre Square on Saturday February 23 from 9am to 3pm. It will feature displays of large recovery vehicles, a paintball stand, a military ambulance, radio equipment and a recruiting caravan.
JASON MANFORD: Extra dates have been added to Jason Manford’s First World Problems tour. The comic will appear at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Wednesday December 18 and Thursday December 19. CHILDREN’S CHOIR: Watoto African Children’s Choir, who travel the world as advocates for Africa’s 50 million orphaned children, will perform at Norton’s Destiny Church at 4pm on Sunday March 3rd. They will raise awareness of the plight of vulnerable children in Africa through stories, music and dance.
BOOK SIGNING: Archaeologist and author Dr Stephen J Sherlock will be at the Guisborough bookshop on Saturday February 23 from 11am to 1pm where he will sign copies of his book ‘A Royal Anglo-Saxon Cemetery at Street House, Loftus’.
COMIC RELIEF: A comedy night in aid of Comic Relief will feature performers Andy White, Will Duggan and El Purnell. It will be held at Tuned In in Redcar on Friday March 15. Tickets cost £10 and include a free hog roast. They are available from Tuned In or by calling 07757-775479.
COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning will be held on Saturday February 23 at St Martin of Tours Parish Church in Whinney Banks, Middlesbrough from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Entry is £2 and there will be a tombola and a variety of stalls.
