PHOTOGRAPHERS could have their work displayed at one of the Teesside’s most popular parks.

The 2013 Friends of Stewart Park Photography Competition has been launched to find the most spectacular photos taken within the park over the last year.

Entries to the competition - which will be judged by a panel including park manager Dave Miller and Saltburn photographer Charles Twist – must be received by Sunday March 31.

Shortlisted entries will be displayed in the park’s visitor centre and cafe and three winners will receive a copy of the Memories of Stewart Park book along with cash prizes of £50, £30 and £20 respectively.

Councillor Tom Mawston, Chairman of the Friends of Stewart Park, said: “The park is a fantastic place to visit and is hugely popular with photographers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

“The photography competition is a great opportunity for people to show us what they love about Stewart Park, with a chance to see their work on display and even pick up a prize in the process.

“I’m sure the judges will have a tough task picking the winners – and I’m looking forward to seeing some great images of this jewel in Middlesbrough’s crown.”

Entrants should submit a single image as a jpeg attachment to fosp01@yahoo.com.
