TV comedian to play Middlesbrough

AMERICAN stand-up comic Rich Hall will perform at Middlesbrough Town Crypt, it has been announced.

Well known for TV appearances on Live at the Apollo, QI and Have I Got News For You will play Middlesbrough on Monday, May 13.

RURAL SUMMIT: Tees Valley Rural Community Council is hosting its fourth Rural Summit at Preston Park, Eaglescliffe, near Stockton. There will be a key note speech from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. The event takes place on Friday, March 15 from 9.30am to 3.30pm and costs £5 to book. HORTICULTURE TRAINING: Free horticulture training is on offer available from Middlesbrough Environment City. The training will take place at the Town Farm Training Centre on Cargo Fleet Lane and the first Level 1 and 2 horticulture courses start on Tuesday, March 5. Morning and afternoon sessions are available and will run for 10 to 15 weeks. Other courses vary in length and will run according to demand. The courses are funded by the Big Lottery Local Food Programme and are free for all those taking part. FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT: A large number of events have been planned for this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight in Stockton between Monday, February 25 and Sunday, March 10. Schools are already developing works of art made from the wrappers from Fairtrade products which will go on display in Stockton High Street. There will also be a free talk delivered by Paul Chandler of Tradecraft who will speak at Durham University’s Ebsworth Building at Queen’s Campus in Thornaby.
