Warning over counterfeit £20 notes circulating in Teesdale
5:46pm Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News By Stuart Laundy, Reporter (Barnard Castle & Teesdale)
COUNTERFEIT NOTES: Teesdale residents are being warned that counterfeit £20 notes are being circulated in the dale. Police say the problem was first highlighted in Darlington, but a number of dud notes have now been reported in Teesdale. Anyone who believes they have been given a counterfeit £20 note should report it to police.
PARKING PROBLEMS: The car parking situation in Toft Hill and Etherley is to remain as a police priority for another month. The recent PACT meeting heard that although problems in Etherley had dissipated since the closure of the Post Office, incidents elsewhere meant police should continue to monitor the situation.
