Barn destroyed by electrical fault

AN electrical fault is believed to have caused a fire which destroyed a barn at Ellerbeck, near Osmotherley, Northallerton on Friday February 15. Two crews from Northallerton attended the blaze just after 8am, using breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera and pitch forks. A neighbouring workshop was badly damaged by smoke.
HALF term is the last chance to see an exhibition of paintings of the North York Moors over the winter months. An exhibition by Peter Reynolds at the Moors National Park Centre at Danby finishes on February 26. It’s open from 10:30am to 4:30pm
