UNDER INTERROGATION: Parish councillors in Etherley are to submit a list of questions they want answered to the village's community police officer PC Heather Fenwick ahead of next month's meeting on March 14. At the February meeting, members were told PC Fenwick would be attending their next get together.

FOUL PLAY: Ten patrols between January 17 and February 14 failed to uncover any dog fouling offences in Etherley. The problem was highlighted at a village PACT meeting and will continue as a police priority during the coming month. A request has been made for 'no dog mess' notices to be fixed to telegraph poles.

WARDEN WOES: Mark Farren, Durham County Council's education and enforcement manager is to attend the March meeting of Etherley Parish Council after concerns were expressed about how the authority's neighbourhood warden service was operating in the area.
