JOINERY tools and fishing gear worth thousands of pounds has been stolen from a shed in Darlington.

The shed, in the rear garden of a house in the Neasham Road area, was broken into sometime during Friday night or early Saturday morning and more than 24 items, including professional drills, grinders and sanders, and angling equipment was stolen.

Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen or heard anything suspicious in Neasham Road or neighbouring streets on Friday night, February 15, to contact them on 101 and ask for PC Helen Hudson.
