Darlington Amateur Gardening Club will meet this week

THE next meeting of Darlington Amateur Gardening Club will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday at Bondgate Methodist Church, Winston Street, Darlington.

The meeting will include a talk by Cath Proud on the plants of Central America. The event is £2 for members and £3 for nonmembers and includes coffee and biscuits. All are welcome.

EMBROIDER IT: A free embroidery taster workshop will be held tomorrow (Monday, February 18) hosted by the Embroiderers' Guild. The event takes place from 10am to 11.30am and no experience is necessary and booking is not required.

PACT MEET: A Park East Police and Communities Together (Pact) meeting will be held in Skerne Park Community Centre, Darlington, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm tomorrow (Monday, February 18).

HEALTHY WALK: A session of Nordic walking, which involves walking with poles, will be held in South Park, Darlington, on Tuesday, at 10am. The sessions are supported by Age UK and walkers are asked to meet at the Clock Tower and wear suitable clothes. Sessions are £2.50 and booking is essential. WARD TALK: Councillor Richard Grundy, ward member for Faverdale, is holding a ward surgery in West Park Academy, in Alderman Leach Drive, Darlington, on Tuesday, from 6pm.
