RICHMOND Methodist Church wowed the crowds with its version of the pantomime Cinderella at the weekend, starring cast members ranging from four to 80-year-olds.
Daphne Clarke, 80, played the Fairy Godmother, and said there was a full house every night.
“It was said by very many people that it was our best production yet,” she said.
“I really enjoyed it – I was singing and dancing with the rest of them.”
The pantomime was not designed as a fundraising event, but half of all proceeds raised will go towards a children’s charity yet to be decided.
Mrs Clarke, a member of the congregation and lay preacher at the church, added: “It’s wonderful for the young ones because they get so involved in it.
“We had one young boy who suffers from Cerebral Palsy in the cast, and he just looked ecstatic with delight to be involved, he was marvellous.”
