PUPILS at a North-East school have joined forces with the region’s fashion businesses to go catwalk crazy in the name of charity.

Polam Hall School, in Grange Road, Darlington, enlisted the help of some of the trendiest firms in the North-East to take part in its special Valentine’s Day charity fashion show.

Retailers from across the region, including Leggs, Poppy Bridal, Ruby’s, Verity’s Closet, Geoffrey Gillow, New Look, Republic, Dolly Mamma, Affleck and Moffat, and Catherine Hart supplied outfits for the show, which were modelled by sixth form students, while junior school pupils strutted their stuff in customised shoes created by the school’s Young Enterprise Club.

Backstage help was provided by Neo Beauty and Be Premiere who helped the young models with their hair and make-up.

Headmaster John Moreland said: “Not only will the fashion show raise funds for a very important charity, it will also teach our pupils some new skills and give them valuable experience in showing them what can be achieved by working as a team.”

The show raised funds for Kagando Care, which supports the life-saving work of a Ugandan hospital and orphanage.
